Create bootable Windows XP/7 USB/Pen-Drive

First download  "WinToFlash" here.
Extract it, and open "wintoflash.exe".

Then click on the green button as shown in figure.Then click next.

Now select "Windows file path" which is the source of your CD/DVD. (If you have ISO image then you can extract it to a another clean drive or another usb drive and select it as "Windows file path")
then select USB drive location

Click next & follow the rest instructions.
After few minutes your USB drive will ready to boot & install.

Remember, not all motherboard/bios supports USB drive booting. So first you should check your bios for boot options like "boot from external drive" or "boot from usb" or "boot from flash drive" and make it first boot device.

Sometimes when you install from USB it gives error-


Line 52 of the INF file \$WIN_NT$."BT\winnt.sif is invalid
Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.

If this error occurs then open your USBdrive & navigate to \$WIN_NT$.\BT\winnt.sif
Now open winnt.sif with any text editor like notepad or notepad++.
At line 52 it will look like this-

ComputerType = "Standard PC", Retail"

To remove this error add a double quote just before Retail and save it. But take care of extension while saving. Extension must be in winnt.sif not winnt.sif.txt.

Windows 7 USB Creator

Creating a bootable windows 7 usb disk is useful  i.e. Installing windows 7 through pen drive is useful if :

1. You use netbook. Netbooks don’t come with dvd drive and you are left with no option than to use bootable windows 7 usb drive.

2. Bootable windows 7 usb drive is reliable and you won’t ever lose your windows setup due to scratching or other problems that arise with windows 7 dvd disc

How to create a bootable windows 7 on usb drive :

1.  Download the windows 7 usb/dvd tool here
2.  Run it.
3.  browse to the source of windows 7 iso image
4.  click next and then specify the destination drive.
5.  It’ll ask to format, just accept everything and then proceed.
6.  Finally your windows 7 bootable usb pendrive will be ready.

Create folders that can not be deleted in Windows OS

It must be made and delete using Command Prompt.

Steps:

1). Go to cmd.

2). Change to the directory  where you want to create the folder.

3). Assume i change to D:

4). So,in Command Prompt,type D: and [enter].

5). Type this command "md lpt1\" without quotes and press enter.

6). The folder will now in your D:

7). Now try to delete or rename it, You cannot do anything to it.

Here are few more names that you can use to name the folder:

-lpt1 until lpt9

-CON

-AUX

To delete it:

1.Go to Command Prompt again.

2.Navigate to the directory.

3.Type in rd lpt1\
